Mount Jade
is 3952 meters in height and it is the highest mountain in Taiwan.
I climbed Mount Jade Main Peak in 1996 with my best friends and we were fortunate enough to watch
the sunrise. It was amazing and I was so moved at that moment although I
felt too cold to say any words then. Besides, the stars appear bigger and more
beautiful from Mount
Jade than if seen from
the city. Furthermore, the most wonderful scenery was One-seed Juniper forest,
a kind of alpine tree, leaning upon the ground growing under the influence of
cold strong winds, which is a fantastically beautiful mountain
atmosphere.
You should go and visit it
one day in your life if you love mountains.
